FAQs
Larp (Live action Role-Playing) is a phenomenon, a medium, a hobby, a form of pastime and for some a source of inspiration.
Larp is an improvisational play (without audience) with a theme where merging into the story is central. You come up with a role for yourself: a character with a background and his own character traits. Anything is possible, as long as it fits into the theme in which the adventure takes place.
You then react from your role to the situations that arise during the adventure. In order for everything to go fairly and lead in the right direction, there are some rules of the game that everyone adheres to. With these rules of the game it becomes possible to do things that in reality (rather) can not. Think of stealing, fighting, dying, healing within a minute and using magic.
Larp: Fantasy Heroes and Larp: Zombie Apocalypse are examples of a LARP with all its aspects.
Yes, Larp is definitely suitable for a bachelor party! It is a unique and fun way to experience an adventure together. In Fantasy Heroes, the bachelor or bachelorette plays the role of Prince Valiant or Princess Fiona, who is about to marry the other person. Many groups have already had fantastic experiences during their bachelor or bachelorette parties, laughing a lot and enjoying the activities. The Larp is specially designed for participants who have never Larped before. It's a great way to get everyone in the mood for the day and create an unforgettable experience.
If you're not into role-playing, we have developed Larpen Light . In Sword Tag and Archery Tag The role-playing adventure has been scrapped, and we are focusing on the action within Larp. Sword fighting and archery in competition form and in costume, so that you can immerse yourself in the fantasy world created in a Larp.
And if you want to do both sword fighting and archery against each other, then choose Battle Tag
You can play our games if you are 16 years or older. There is no maximum age.
We only organize LARPs for groups of at least 7 players. You always pay for a minimum of 10 participants. If you are looking for a LARP organization that accepts individual registrations, we refer you to the Larp agenda.
We have recently started experimenting with the possibility of joining an already booked group adventure at our location in Doorn, either individually or in pairs. In this case, you can only participate as an extra. You cannot choose the role of player. You simply take part in the introductory workshop. This means you still get the full experience. To compensate for the lack of choice, you receive a 15% discount on the standard price.
Yes! In recent years, it has been proven that everyone can have a fun afternoon.
The activities are designed to appeal to as many people as possible. We don't jump into the deep end right away: workshops provide a gradual build-up, so that everyone will feel comfortable with what he or she is going to do.
In addition, the professional game guidance contributes to the feeling of hospitality, safety and fun.
Yes, we will come to you. However, we do have certain requirements for the location to ensure that the experience runs smoothly.

The travel time costs are then 1.33 * €40 = €53.33). All amounts stated here include VAT.
We are permitted to rent the forest on the Zonheuvel Estate. The estate is easily accessible by car. Free parking is available at the location.
For public transport, you will need to rely on bus connections from Maarn, Zeist, or Veenendaal stations during the week. Unfortunately, getting there at the weekend is a bit of a challenge (train taxi from Zeist station, 25 minutes by public transport bicycle from Zeist station, or a 37-minute walk from Maarn station).

Safety is the most important thing for us! We provide sound and safe material. Therefore, you will receive proper instruction, practice the use of the safe weapons and always follow the instructions of the game supervisor regarding safety. A first aid kit is provided. You are liable for any damage or injury.
We work with experienced game supervisors who monitor safety during a fight. If it turns out that someone does not follow the instructions, then he must surrender the weapon and is excluded from further participation in battles. The decision of the game supervisor is final. We are liable for any damage or injury if we do not intervene.
If you do not like the physical aspect after the exercise, or you find it exciting and do not feel safe with it, there are other ways to participate in the activity, without having to fight.
I'm pregnant...
Congratulations! But pregnant women should not participate in physical fights and should not be hit. Participation in workshops and practice with the weapons is possible, but is at your own risk.
Only Larp weapons are allowed. These are checked before the start of the activity. Rejected weapons are kept in the car (of the game attendant) during the activity. Please leave weapons that are prohibited by Dutch law at home.
If you follow the instructions, then fighting with Larp weapons and bows will not be painful. It can happen that an arrow or weapon accidentally hits hard, but it does not result in bruises or the like.
For safety reasons, you must not be under the influence of drugs or drunk or intoxicated. You will be banned from all fighting and wielding Larp weapons.
If the entire group is under the influence and no longer follow the instructions of the game supervisor, the activity is terminated prematurely.
Yeah, a little. In the adventure there are a few escape room puzzles. But also solving the events and the rules of the game require you to think about how you handle certain things.
According to escape room professor Scott Nicholson, escape rooms stem from the Larp world, where the plot puzzles are stripped of plot and role-playing.
Yes, all games are conducted in English and have English instructions and puzzles/challenges available.
If you require information regarding our activities in English, please contact us. We are happy to help you out.
First, we will do a 1.5-hour workshop. There, you will learn sword fighting, something about the rules of the game, and role-playing. Then we will split the group into players and extras. The extras will read the adventure and play various roles. The players will be given a role and a costume.
For the 1.5-2 hour adventure, the extras then go ahead with the game supervisor and a wagon full of boxes of costumes. There they set up a scene. The players are summoned via walkie-talkie. Then you have an encounter. You engage in role-playing, perform magic, and if that doesn't work, you grab your latex LARP weapon and start swinging! This way, you experience multiple events that together form a story. You try to solve the mission.
All the clichés of a traditional fantasy LARP are present in the adventure. This way, you will have an unforgettable adventure together!
You can play Sword Tag, Archery Tag, or Battle Tag with a minimum of six participants. And with seven or more participants, you can play Larp Fantasy Heroes, for example.
The Larp Fantasy Heroes can be played with a minimum of 7 players. However, you always pay for a minimum of 10 players. We organize the Larp exclusively for your group.
In Larp (Live Action Role-Playing), you participate in an improvisational theater game without an audience, playing a character within a specific theme. Here are the basic steps to Larping:
1. Participate in the Workshop: We start a LARP with a workshop in which you learn skills such as sword fighting and learn more about the rules of the game and role-playing.
2. Learn the 7 Rules of the Game: There are rules of the game that ensure everything is fair. These rules make it possible to do things that are not possible in reality, such as fighting or using magic.
3. Choose a Role: Choose a character and come up with a background and personality traits that fit the theme of the adventure.
4. Play the Adventure: During the adventure, you react to situations that arise based on your role. This can range from solving puzzles to engaging in combat with LARP weapons.
5. Co-operate: Collaborating with other players is often an important part of Larp, because you work together to successfully complete the mission or story.
6. Enjoy the Experience: The most important thing is to have fun and immerse yourself in the fantasy world that is created.
Larping is suitable for participants aged 16 and older. Unfortunately, younger children are not able to participate in the Larp activities we offer.
Battle Tag can be played on the lawn in front of the Zonheuvel estate in Doorn. We can also organize Battle Tag in your neighborhood, in consultation with you. It is therefore possible to find a suitable location in Utrecht. Consider, for example, the lawn at Laag Raven lake south of Utrecht.
Yes, but it depends on your disability.
Unfortunately, participating in physical combat is often not possible due to your own safety or that of others.
However, we have written the role of Wizard into the game so that you can be there, help solve the puzzles, and role-play. Please bear in mind that we usually play on forest paths due to your mobility.
Nowadays, we also facilitate a complete indoor version of Larp Fantasy Heroes, including music and lighting effects. Perhaps this will contribute to the solution for mobility limitations.
No, unfortunately, we only sell events. LARP gear can usually only be purchased online. We buy our gear from:
Or you can go to the fabric market and sew your own costumes.
